Liar game

Watched finished Liar game a few days ago. If I'm not wrong, I watched  the last 2 episodes on Wednesday while I watched the other 10 on Sunday.

How was I able to wait for the last 2 episodes? Well, I actually couldn't stop watching liar game. The reason why I took forever for 2 episodes was because I was really busy and that there were a lot of things going on these days and I was really busy and tired that I couldn't finish the last 2 episodes.

Trust me, I dreamed about liar game in my sleep because the show totally killed me. It really killed me to the extent that I just kept thinking about it because it was such a sick show. I meant sick in the mind. Such a psychological thriller literally made me feel like the rest of the dramas that I watched were not as good as liar game and now I'm left hanging with episode 12... Please let a part 2 come out soon (in the mean while, I'm going to jump into the Japanese version after The King's Face since it originated from Japan).

This is a must watch drama and whoever who wrote this drama is such a genius! I was completely thrown off guard during the entire show and I absolutely loved the plot on how people deceive each other and on trusting each other. All in the name of money. Sounds like any other plot but it is a reality show in a drama and its a game where you see people betray each other. Shin Sung Rok (who acted in My love from another star and The King's Face) is really a good actor.

Bride of the century

Hello! I watched finished bride of the century 2 days ago and I really love that drama. There was that adrenaline rush that I was looking forward to. It was really an interesting plot though it was quite obvious on what would happen as there is more that what it was on the surface where the history in the family eventually unfolds in a really interesting way.

I loved how the fate of the family members intertwined and the chemistry between leads. (Hong gi is really quite cute). I was expecting quite a bit of horror. HAHA it wasn't scary at all. (In my opinion). This drama also left quite a bit of an impression in which I would want to watch this again. It's definitely an exciting drama to watch (Power struggle & backstabbing) with a unique story-line. 

Pinocchio

Finally watched finish Pinocchio yesterday and this drama was really good. I loved how the plot unfolds and how more things reveal throughout the 20 episodes.
The characters were really lovable and I like how there's a change in attitude of some of the characters which was eventually a revelation of who they actually were deep down. Also, apart from that, I really love how there's meaning behind this drama on how the truth will always reveal itself no matter how we hide it and that we will never be happy through a web of lies.

I also love how the characters played out and that Lee Jong Suk and Park Shin Hye is really quite cute together. And I like how everyone worked together- trusting and not trusting each other- to solve the case. Actually in fact, I felt like I was not watching a show regarding reporters but another crime show. Still, it was good and I loved the plot so much. This drama gave me a really good and lasting impression. I'd watch this drama again.

I hear your voice.

I'm watching this again because I watched this during school time in J1 and I honestly don't remember what I watched so I watched this again and I'm moving on to Pinocchio tomorrow. I hear your voice is such a beautiful drama with morals. Besides, the story line was quite exciting which made me kept watching non-stop. Though I took approximately 8 days to finish this because I was quite busy during the day.

I still recall that I was initially reluctant to watch this because of the age gap, just like my love from another star. However, though the age was a little off, being the female lead older than the guy which it was meant to be, the impression lasted for a really long time.

 

I absolutely love the story line because it isn't just another romance drama but the legal part of the drama (during the court cases) was rather interesting and exciting. The way the different characters react took me on an emotional roller coaster ride throughout the entire drama. I think I may want to watch this again.

Reply 1994

 

I would say that reply 1994 was quite boring. It was too draggy such that it repeats as it goes to and fro from the past to the present unlike reply 1997 which was short and sweet. Still, I eventually enjoyed how it eventually reveal the groom and how the characters developed. Its quite funny also.

Reply 1994 is like reply 1997 which is quite relatable and I enjoyed this drama on a whole despite the repeated parts. On a whole, this drama is pretty good with all the lessons, reflections (there are too many voiceovers though), humor, not-so-good-romance and not-so-interesting-plot. Not sure why I thought it was good on a whole. Not as good as the other dramas but its really quite watchable. I took more than a week to watch this.

By the way, I prefer NaJeong to go with the cuter boy. That poor boy had to suffer so much in the drama. And by the way I like how the 1997 cast appeared in 1994 smoothly.

Reply 1997

Hello!

I just finished watching reply 1997. I was supposed to watch this 2 years ago but I didn't and I conveniently forgot about this drama last year. When I dug up my old drama list, I found out that I was supposed to watch 1997 2 years ago and 1994 this year but I'm gonna watch them back to back.

Reply 1997 is a really lovely show. I can totally relate to this sitcom because its so true (coming from a crazy fangirl who is not as crazy now). The relationship between Shi Won and her parents and really events that happen (except for the romance part). This drama is really down to earth and I really hope that I'll be able to meet up with all my friends 10 years down the road. (I'll be 28 by then) Everyone acted really well. Maybe parts of it were a little confusing because it follows a non-linear storyline but once I really got into the drama, this drama is actually really lovely.

You're all surrounded

 

Hello, I just finished you're all surrounded and I think that this show is really awesome. My heart was literally beating really hard during every episode. Its an action drama by the way. I'll definitely watch this again soon if I've the time because I really love this drama. It gave me so many goosebumps whenever they solve a case.

The twist in the plot really got me this time round as I really kind of didn't expect it to be really complicated (for a murder case that happened 11 years ago to the male lead's mother in the drama). It was really dramatic but this its a drama right... I was totally mindblown by this.

However, the drama was a little choppy after. They actually created a criminal case whereby soo san and dae gu kissed and then the remaining half of the drama mainly concentrated on one case which was to solve the male lead's mother's murder. Nonetheless, the plot was good. I really love how the plot unfolds.

(I've just completed another lee seung gi's drama. That's like all as of now.)

Jaehyun is so cute haha.

 

High school Love on

Wow, after waiting for 4 weeks and following this drama, I feel kinda sad after watching the last episode because I miss watching woohyun and sungyeol right now.

Anyway, this is the first drama I jumped into after Alevels. (Or should I actually say in the middle of Alevels before my MCQ- the day chem and geog written papers ended) This drama was predictable because the start of episode 1 already pre-empt me that this was going to happen and I was sure it would happen in around episode 19/20. Nonetheless, this drama is cuteeeeee. Its really very watchable and enjoyable. Maybe its because its the first drama I watched in 11 months or something. Still, I enjoyed it and well, letting my emotions fluctuate with the characters in the drama. Its not draggy. Its just right and I really love the bromance between Sungyeol and Woohyun. I also love how everyone came together to protect seulbi which was really touching. The interaction between the characters are really cute and somewhat nice.

The ending of this drama did give a good impression such that I may watch it again but not so soon. It doesn't really make me ponder much (maybe it's because I'm not thinking).

 

 

But the acting wasn't really good though. Probably it's they're really young and it's woohyun's first/second time (if The Thousandth Man is counted) acting I guess.

It's Okay That's Love

I just finished it's okay that's love. The rate at which I'm watching drama is really scary. I just finished it in less than approximately 2 days. My friend recommended this to me because to her it was really good. Honestly, I was skeptical because I thought it would be quite boring when I read the plot however, I really loved how the story unfolds even though some parts were a little draggy.

I'm really amused at kyungsoo's acting as kangwoo and kwangsoo's acting as sookwang. The acting was really good.  Maybe it is because I'm not a very patient person. The acting was really good which made the drama good. I also love the chemistry between the actors and actresses. It's worth watching again. Not so soon but it's really worth watching. Oh and the humor was not bad.

The impression wasn't really deep honestly (Because I wasn't concentrating about 20% of the time) but it was good enough. (D.O. is so cute btw)

 

 

Prime Minister and I + My Lovely Girl

My Lovely Girl
Watched my lovely girl when I was in Japan because of Krystal, Rain and Myungsoo. To be honest, my lovely girl wasn't really good. The plot wasn't fantastic at all. I could totally predict the plot and even the conversation which was no fun at all. (Poor Myungsoo though) I wouldn't watch this again if I feel like watching a drama again because (to me) it was quite a waste of my time such that the plot was kind of boring. (Like I said, I watched for the actor and actresses only). Not sure if its because I really watch too many Korean dramas or I've become a drama guru. Maybe I've a secret talent for lit or drama and all the ??? devices/technique.

 

 



Prime Minister and I
Hello, I just finished watching prime minister and I. I watched for the character(s) again- Yoon Shi Yoon, Yoona and the kids that are really cool. I actually like this drama though the plot was a little boring. Some parts surprised me and I like the humour in this drama. I actually like watching the kids of the prime minister because they're so cute. (and suho cameo for 3 episodes). Nonetheless this drama is not totally worth watching. It didn't leave a huge impression for my love from another star & doctor stranger. And it didn't make me want to continue the drama for the whole day as I went out on Monday (today is Thursday) for a run and wasted time sitting at the benches in the park.

 

Doctor stranger

Just finished watching Doctor stranger.
Took 2.5 days to watch this drama. Though this drama was tad confusing and there were some parts that were not well explained, this drama was literally driving me crazy that I've to keep on going on to the next episode because it was so exciting. Well, its been a long time since I last watched a medical drama. I think the previous medical drama that I had watched was in 2012- Faith (The Great Doctor)- which more of fantasy and historical stuff which was interesting. I used to think that medical dramas were boring because all they do was to save lives. Yet, I had been proven wrong because of the plot which had made the drama more interesting (& Lee Jong Suk). Each patient they saved was a battle between 2 surgeons.
Han Jae Joon & Park Hoon, each having different motives which made it really exciting. Then comes Jae Hee who was involved in a secret mission with Agent Cha from North Korea. I thought she died at Budapest in the first episode (But then again the lead wouldn't die). I just felt that the drama was in a rush and it wasn't well explained in some parts which was a little confusing. Otherwise it is worth watching.

Someday when I read my own reviews I think I'm going to have a hard time re-picking my dramas to watch again.

By the way, I've watched almost all of Lee Jong Suk's dramas up to this. (Now left with Pinocchio)

 

My Love From Another Star

This drama is definitely the best drama I've ever watched in my entire life. I know that I haven't been posting here lately despite completing Alevels just a few months ago. I've watched 3 dramas to far, one of which is still ongoing. Since I've just completed My Love From Another Star, I decided to blog about this first.

I've watched many Korean dramas. First one being winter sonata/full house (I can't remember) but this one has never made me watch till 3am in the morning.
I must admit that I've never slept later than 12am this year and woken up later than 9am this year and yesterday 11/12/14 was my first time. (I thought Alevels made me have better sleeping cycles but no...) 

I'm pretty much an emotional wreck right now. I can't sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about this drama. Comedy, Romance, Melodrama, Fantasy. All in one drama with the best plot ever. I thought I watched enough to predict exactly where, when and what is going happen (which was what happened to My Lovely Girl & High School Love On) but this drama caught me. Its totally worth watching again. I'll probably watch this one more time in the future when I start becoming a bum and do nothing. (Not to mention Kim SooHyun. I've watched every single drama of his) By the way I totally love how they brought in characters and lines from Dream High & The Moon that embraces the sun. I totally laughed so hard in the midst of sobbing about their fate and hating the bad older brother.

I'll watch this again.

It gradually dawned on me that this is the last Friday that I can hang out and roll around without any worries.
No. I'm worrying because I'm afraid that I can't get into a college of my choice... :( And I had this nightmare last night. I swear it was horrible. I don't know... I woke up feeling like crap luh.
Why is Singapore's education so screwed up? Sigh.
The past few days passed in a blink of an eye.

Went to watch Les Miserables & Runway cop with Ayana and Carnation on Monday and seriously had a great time watching 2 movies back to back. It was a contrast because Les miserables (a musical) was a sad touching musical and we were all feeling sad and touched when we stepped out of the theatre and the next moment we bought runway cop (a korean comedy) tickets which was a freaking comedy. We laughed our ass off and I still remember those funny parts clearly. Haha. Worth a watch. OMG and the starting song for Les Miserables was stuck in my head! I love the ending so much.

Tuesday was another day out with Carnation, Elisabeth, Lynnette and Vivian. Had a satisfying lunch at Elisabeth's house before sending Vivian off to work in which we helped her to do stocks later on. Had dinner with Carny and Vivian before going to my friend's brother wake.
Life is precious. I'm going to live life with no regrets.
Pray for the departed. May their soul rest in peace.

Anyway wednesday was work.. My last day of work. I have mix feelings about it because I actually enjoy my job because I get to talk... But then things turned and there were no customers which made me so upset... :( How can people stand for 8-10hours without talking? I cannot do it! I need to talk and promote my bedsheets. Sigh...

KTV with Beatrice and Sharlene on thursday. Was just plain epic-ness because we were so retarded. Singing children songs: Twinkle twinkle little star, old macdonalds had a farm and she'll be coming round the mountain... And clapping to it... Not only that.. we jammed to the classic song of 'this is me' by demi lovato.. I still remember us in sec ones when we were studying for revision tests which turned out to a 'love' story acting section by sharlene and beatrice. I was even the director. Sharlene and Beatrice were romeo and juliet and we even did our version of it. Not to forget that we fangirled by singing kpop songs and some chinese songs. I'm gonna miss these 2 idiots in the future. All the memories we had together especially while studying together.

Bad bad selca skills. I look so gross haha.

Went to find sharlene lee at manhattan fish market today and ate a feast... Went to find vivian and nua-ed around center point before scooting off to school.. I really miss school a lot. I'm going to miss the st nicks culture and the lessons. I can't wait for fiesta on the 7th of August. I remember vaguely that I had one when I was in Primary 6 and I really enjoyed it a lot. I swear our fiesta was the best in the entire world and now we're having it again. #3000daughterswantfiesta (including graduated jie jie mens leh... I think if its like that got at least 5000 already) #3000daughtershaving fiesta!
brb... crying tears of joy. Took pictures with my mynah patrol. I'm so going to miss guides a lot. I miss footdrill. Watching them from afar reminds me of the past.

Watched dream high this week...

I like the plot.. Plus taecyeon and kim soohyun was like *-* okay wait soohyun starred in the moon that embraces the sun but honestly, he looked better in dream high. I hated the romance part of the drama. It doesn't make any sense and it was just like -__- haha I always thought she would end up with jingook but no she didn't. So the drama mislead me. WTH. WTH. This is why I hate high school related dramas. But then again soohyun is so good looking. Teehee. And its pretty bitchy because of baekhee..

I intend to move back to epop because I want to play the guitar and have people singing along.
BUT I CAN'T FIND NEW ENGLISH MUSIC.
Everything is just dubstep dubstep dubstep. I hate dubstep music now because I can't even play along to it. My indie bands are like -__- dead. Lawson is pretty good but he sounds really annoying at times.
So pissed. dkjfdkljgalfjaldjfieafja Why no good folk music also. :( Something that I like. I've spent like 2hours listening to so many songs and nothing actually caught my attention.
Still.. what caught my attention was: I'm sorry by CNblue, special girl by infinite H, rain sound by B.A.P, 24/7 by 2yoon.
Break down was just dubstep music shit. I mean its okay but I don't really like dubstep. But plus point: they are dancing. So its okay. The rest of the album was good though. I liked it.
Oh I found thai music. I don't know what title but getsunova's music is damn good.

Anyway, I've recently watched 2 dramas. Arang and the magistrate and The moon that embraces the sun.
Both fall under a few categories.... Historical, fantasy and comedy.
However, Arang and the magistrate is a horror show.

And under the category of fantasy... its sorcery. Yes, Horror comedy show. My parents must be thinking that I AM crazy because I was laughing at a horror show. But it was so funny I just kept laughing half the time even at the creepy music. But honestly, I think that the show is a worth watch. And I enjoyed it a lot because I really really wanted to know whether the bitch who killed many people and sealed their souls get captured in the end. The show became really creepy when they revealed her secret dungeon... The creepier part came when the creepy woman have her creep face on when Arang approaches her because Arang is immortal and when she gets arang she becomes immortal. The jade emperor was just a dork who plays badung (is it?) and the guzheng everyday. But he was the smartass who sent aranag as a bait to capture the creepy woman. LOL. I'm so going to watch that drama again because I enjoy watching the creepy woman's face and being creeped at night at 12am. LOL. I was so creeped I couldn't sleep. HAHAHAHA. Its not a good thing. the 9 generation of shamans is damn funny. LOL. I was laughing so hard at them.



The moon that embraces the sun is supposed to be a sad show.

Oh it involves slight creepy sorcery in the show too.
This one which I thought to be a melo drama wasn't sad at all. The only sad part of the drama was when yeon woo 'died'. Like shaman was hired to 'kill' her. But it got on my nerves when it took them so long to meet again. So I kept watching. Not to mention this show is really very interesting. I can't stop clicking the next part/next episode. Its such a funny drama especially the king's assistant. LOL hyungsan. When he sat between both of them blindfloded when they slept next to each other so that they won't do anything as the king cannot control his raging hormones. HAHAHAHAHAHA. And the king made him climb up the roof to throw the flowers. So it was a comedy. I really enjoyed watching the drama a lot even though its too cheesy. But its so cute. and I pity the other queen who don't get the king's love. And ga in is so pretty! The leads (both old version and young version) are really good looking, (Y)(Y)



Anyw, the past few days was like zoom zoom like a rocket. I went back to work on wednesday and thursday back at raffles city robinsons. There were no customers. The promoters at my section outnumber the customers. The ratio was like 5:1 Haha It was seriously really pathetic.
It is not like I can promote because there was no one. Even on thursday, which was card day, robinsons was really empty. I was like T_T Texted vivian at centerpoint robinsons and we both were like T_T together because all 3 of us, including lynnette were so excited to go to wrok because got customers and at the end of the day when we met up for dinner, all of us were like T_T-ing.
Vivian and I went to HMV and jammed to using by using their really good headsets. Haha.
And I'm so happy I got my exo calendar. The mega big one from korea (my cousin bought for me. It was around 24bucks) while singapore sold it for 53 bucks. HAHAHAHAHA. In your face. Kidding. So stocked for EXO's comeback. Rumours flying all over the place with the producers tweeting and all.
Went back to school yesterday to visit guides. I kind of miss after guides camwhore session. We were so retarded together! Now, looking at the juniors camwhoring, I really miss guides session. WEll, took a few shots with them too!
















Awwww. I really miss them. I can't wait to see them soon. Went to eat strictly pancakes at some atas place.
I swear they were the best pancakes that I ever had. I loved it so much I was like legfjdljgfa and the entire plate was gone.

I need to go back there again to eat.

Oh and went to carnation's house with lizzie on tuesday. Watched home alone and little mermaid.
I finally know the ending for little mermaid. :-) So she didn't disappear into foam. But the original version she did luh! I've always thought that she disappeared into foam in the disney version too.
Decided to cook some thai food and we turned carny's kitchen upside down with our discounted and cheapo food that lizzie and I bought before we went to carny's house.
Haha. Fried vegetables (which was too sweet) and spent half the time screaming cos our oil was like sputtering all over the place. HAHAHAHAHA and our tomyam soup is too oily. Is that what we get for "$3.60 tomyam paste vs $4 tomyam paste. Chose $3.60 one"? Haha. And even our vegetables was like the cheapest among all the others around. We were too caught up with buying our cheapo fishballs and fish which was so boney that we forgot lemon grass. -__- I mistook lemon grass as cong. I suck right.
I'm gonna miss these times spent together. I don't want to grow up forever. I'm pretty sure I'm judged for watching little mermaid. Made fun of some character in little mermaid. The sea witch. Haha we called her "BIG BOOBS" And laughed so hard when the prince threw the spear or sth at her boobs.


Monday was pretty epic too. Ate food with joan, natalie, audrey and their friend. Stole Joan's food haha and well... nice bonding time and had a great time tricking audrey.

LOL. Anyway, my mum promised to get me a tablet. When I decided to settle for microsoft surface, its not even in Singapore yet. Can microsoft hurry up? They're so slow. Make me so disappointed :(
Surface is really good from what I saw online and read.
