Let me live that fantasy

Just counted the number of weeks in my calendar and it has been 6 weeks since my last entry.
Promos are finally over and it was really a torture.
I admit I did somewhat study hard for it but I don't think I'm a no life mugger.
Anyway, it was torture because part of me wants to do well but part of me just wanted to slack and sleep at 10pm everyday. (It never happen after exams.) I just hope that I promote.  Its like history repeating itself... sometimes, I find myself questioning the formulas the nearer the exams just like Olevels. Its like who am I to question newton's law of gravitation? It was so miserable because I kept doubting all the physics and chemistry stuff and I can't help but doubt.
/
And there were times when I felt so unmotivated because I feel that its impossible to even get into dentistry or medicine because there are many better people out there competing for the same spot.  I wondered what happened if I'm offered H3 (which will not happen because I didn't study hard enough). If it puts me at an advantage to get into the course I want, I might consider but I've to make sure I don't go crazy too. I need time to play too.

Anyway sad stuff aside. Many fun stuff (well, to me) happened in the 6 weeks.
I think I'll start from yesterday and I'll go backwards. Long blogpost ahead.

Saturday 5/10/13- One Great Step
After counting down for 40 days, down to the hours and the minutes, that moment actually arrived and I can't believe my eyes that I'm actually watching infinite live. With a pretty good seat. Though I don't get to see their faces up front and experience their fanservice, being there was good enough for me.
After the long wait, watching music videos and singing together on the big screen, infinite appeared.
I was really shocked because their live was really good (Destiny shocked me). Sunggyu's voice was really strong, L's voice is very unique, Sungjong's voice is so cute, Woohyun's voice is beautiful, Dongwoo and Hoya are really awesome rappers that can sing. :b
I sound like some insane fangirl because I'm obviously suffering from the after effects of a concert. As usual. SS4 and SMTOWN. HAHAHA.
By the way infinite has one of the best best best fanservice ever. Though I'm not at the moshpit (AND I REGRETTED IT), I still enjoyed it a lot.
I was shocked because there was no translator in the concert and they spoke in English. Though its a bit of broken English and the pronunciation was weird, I still loved it.
Sunggyu's 60 seconds was lovely. Like his voice was so clear and good. I've been listening to 60 sec since last year when it was released and I never thought I'd listen to it live with my own ears. It just sends me goosebumps. Same for woohyun singing beautiful. (The major factor that pushed me to attend the concert was when I saw the performance list) Beautiful is my most favourite song in the new challenge album because the lyrics are really nice! Oh my god and L's dimples when he played the guitar and sing. He was so shy he hid behind the teddy bear.
The inconvenient truth music video was super funny I wished they would release it but then it would spark loads of controversies. I secretly videoed it down because I want to watch it. :p Sorry I only videoed this down.
Sungjong spoke tamil and I can't believe it myself too he is so cute!! By the way his English is the cutest! His face and everything all the aegyo and L patting Sungjong's head.
ps paradise in wifebeaters... LOVELY I tell you. LOVELY.
Can U smile was one of the most memorable one though because it was the first song that I heard when shar introduced to me back in 2011. When they split stage... I was like "Oh shit who should I follow" LOL.
I can't list out all the songs because I think I'd go insane, I'm just really grateful to be able to listen to them live with the guitar, drums and all (SMtown and SS4 didn't have for every song). It was an amazing experience when everyone did the fan chant together " I N F I N I T E" that part during fly high before special girl by Infinite H and everyone sang special girl together.
I wished L would play the guitar for in the summer though.
Singapura is my favorite song now because Infinite sang it and it was really cute.
"Singapura, O Singapura, Sunny island set in the sea
Singapura, O Singapura, Pretty flowers bloom for you and me"

Aww I wished I could rewind because its not enough. I mean after counting down for 40 days and its over in 3 hours.

Thursday 4/10/13- end of promos
Thursday marks the end of promos. Well, I did not countdown to Thursday. My countdown timer only stopped on the first day, signaling the start of promos but I was impatiently waiting for Thursday to come while counting down to one great step.
Anyway, the original plan was to go cycling but it got cancelled and I was so upset about it ):
But alternative plan when Rosa, Bijuan, Bryan and Jason came to my house to play xbox Kinect. It was so hilarious (They were trying to beat my parents high score). River rafting, fixing holes, reflex thingy and dance central. To be honest the reflex thingy was really tiring as it was so fast. Squat jump left right left right non-stop. We then baked brownies which were overcooked LOL and then played cheat and taiti (I was the asshole and the shit) oh well. I had loads of fun. Went out to have dinner and lepak till really late! Thanks guys.

Friday 20/09/13- My birthday
Honestly, if you question me what I do on my birthday... I did nothing except eating, physics and er attend school? Well, but then again I didn't tell any JC friends that it was my birthday because I feel that there's nothing to even celebrate about it. I just turn older, face the sad fact that I'm older and study for promos just like everyone else. I can't be asking people to play with me right or even expect them to remember even if I tell them.
Then again, I'd like to thank Evan, Clement and Yin Qing because they dragged me to play basketball cos it was my birthday and I need to have fun. And yes, I had fun. Owned them at the ABC shooting thing. And Advo for the messages and cards. I would also like to thank SN peeps, Beatrice's message at midnight was lovely. Melina still trying to be the first but obviously failed. The memes I've got from Alicia and Huijan and all the birthday wishes via whatsapp and messaging and twitter. (I know I replied like super late because I've lessons but I'm extremely grateful for the long messages that I've received).
17th wish? Stay healthy, pass promos and to be a better person.
With my younger brother on my 17th.

Thursday 12/09/13- dinner
Honestly, yes I was crazy. Look, I woke up at 12pm, had plans to study because I didn't study on Wednesday so I switched off my phone.
Well, Teresa had to call me (my phone was switched off and hence it was diverted to my tablet) on my tablet to tell me to check whatsapp. I whined about being lazy to even to and take my phone. Nevertheless, I did. Who wouldn't especially when someone specially called you to check whatsapp.
So it was Teresa, Clarissa and YanYing talking on this new whatsapp group about dinner. Yes dinner. I thought I needed to study but whatever. So I studied for 3 hours in total before zooming off to meet clarissa first to buy Yan Ying's birthday present. We went to body shop and ALMOST BOUGHT THE TESTER. I'd never forget. We were queuing and the person was like "You might want to take a new one". OOOOPS. Haha we then ate dinner together at the Japanese food court, YOLO max talking about our lives. We've been friends for like 7 years? The 7th year is almost coming to an end. Though YY wasn't with us in St Nicks Sec but sure I miss her so much. xD
>> I TRIED TO BE A HIPSTER. AND I FAILED. >< (Reached home really late :p)

Wednesday 11/09/13- Kbox
Had big sweep. WHOOOOOOOOO!
I swear I spoke Chinese really well to the aunty even though I had to search my phone for some translations. And I was the one speaking half the time cos I can speak Chinese while Vincent can't really. Monique was late though. I was really glad that the aunty opened up to us after many visits since April/March and I really enjoy her company and I hoped she enjoyed mine too. I told her loads of funny things that happened (Its not easy to narrate in Chinese okay) and vice versa. But I glad we kept her company or she would be so bored on a Wednesday morning.
Went for kbox after that. I think I went crazy. We sang many many songs and songs in different languages. We even did pom poms (acers day song) and shake it (school dance) together in the small ktv room that 10 of us squeezed in. And... I really enjoyed myself. (-:

Friday 6/09/13- mooncakes with Vivian
Though I really wanted to go back to St Nicks to visit Ms Yee and wish her happy teacher's day, school ended too late and the sad story of my life: I couldn't wish her happy teacher's day face to face. Well, I went out with Vivian and Ayana. Actually more like I ate with Ayana and Vivian but went out with Vivian. Aww man I miss those 2 peeps so much.
Vivvy and I once again did really stupid stuff. We went around tasting mooncakes. We were shameless. I know. Like we pretended that we'd consider but we just ended up gobbling the mooncakes that were meant for tasting. Well, I got myself a new tablet cover and screen protector. Its less disgusting now :p and talked about our retarded life.
I can't wait to meet Vivian again together with Amanda.
And Shihui, Beatrice, Sharlene etc.

There were many things that happened in between that I couldn't really talk about such as interview with counselor, interview with a caregiver and an ex-caregiver. Not to mention doing YFC final report while waiting for my group members to finish up their parts so that I could compile them. (I swear we're always so last minute. Every time a wild WR draft deadline appear, I flip and I've to sleep so late. But I want my A so I've to work hard for it.)
I've also avoided talking about all the papers because what is done is done. I can't do anything about it and I'm really scared about it okay. ._.

Well, the hectic season is finally over.
Initially: PROMOS, PW, YFC
Now: YFC, PW, CHINESE
It seems hectic but Chinese isn't as time consuming as promos. Besides, I've to work hard for my Mother Tongue because its so embarrassing that my Chinese is terrible and yet I'm a Chinese.

D-21 to Chinese Alevels
D-40 to the last day of school.

25 August 2013

You're gonna hear me roar

I'M STRESSED.
I CANNOT TAKE IT ANYMORE.
I DON'T WANT TO SIT DOWN ALL DAY TO STUDY.
ALL TEACHERS KEEP EMPHASING ON RETAINING BLABLABLA.
I REALLY WANT TO GO OUT AND PLAY.
Everyone watched weekly idol except me... :-(

Okay, my life would have no direction if life were like this. Unfortunately, my life does not even have 1/8 of freedom.
Weekday routine....
Go to school and sleep from 7am to 7.30am.
Breaks: Eat then study.
Home: Study/do work until 12/2
Weekend routine....
Saturday: GP, study, church, study, sleep.
Sunday: study + watch shows (at night)

WELL...
Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to watch shows today because I had to do PW and YFC reports and I'm really pissed at myself because I had forgotten that there is a geog test on Wednesday and I'm no where near start. I could've subbed chemistry and physics that I studied this afternoon for geog so that I won't be stuck in this situation now.
Its not that I'm a mugger but its because I can't understand some new concepts so I've to spend a lot of extra time to understand them. And this 65% is not a joke anymore.
PW is really eating me up slowly. All my slack time is being used to either do PW of YFC. I emphasize that I HAVEN'T HAD THE CHANCE TO WATCH ANY SHOWS. And my sleep time is being pushed back because I inserted PW in the middle.
I'm expected to reply to important messages and I don't have a freedom of when I want to reply... NOT when it shows 'last seen seconds ago'... Somehow I wished that whatsapp don't exist so that I can act like I did not read a single thing and that I do not have a generate a single reply.

I've so many things that I want to do that I've yet to do. My quiet time is probably only when I bathe or while travelling. Somehow... I rather travelling alone because I feel that I need my own quiet time... Especially when I walk home.
Mmmmm I had an anxiety attack on Tuesday night. I guess its because I didn't do anything except EOM that night. I dreamt of failing promos, retaining and being a disappointment to everyone that I woke up at 2am and had to force myself to do some work till 3.30am till I sleep.

Clearly, I can't afford to screw anything up or I'm screwed. 30 days to promos....

It's cliché, but the grass is always greener on the other side :-)
I'm going for infinite's concert on the 5th October and I've got a pretty good seat! :-) and promos end on the 3rd of October.

And I'm so proud of EXO for winning every single music show this week. #Growl7thwin today :-)
AND THIS IS MY MOTIVATION.

Continued Silence

#nowplaying- It's Time
Look, I had forgotten at least half of what happened last week.
Either my life was too eventful or it was not eventful at all until yesterday.

The last 2-3 weeks was a struggle but I glad I survived it and I'm left with 4 weeks till the end of term 3 and probably around 40+ more days to promos.
I had to look at my diary to remember what had happened from 16 July to today, 8 August.

Starting from yesterday...
Yesterday was an eventful day because I was so dead by the time I reached home that I couldn't even stay awake doing a bit of work and it felt so good because I was WAY too tired to wake up in the wee hours of the morning to study today.
Started my day off with SL day rehearsal for the concert with the elderly and after the J1s. (After their SL- Big Sweep). Honestly, I was quite upset because I was not able to join my class to do big sweep and though I've done big sweep quite a few times at toa payoah, I still want to do it with my class and not just the advocates.
And because SL day task force had helped my YFC task force, I helped them by acting in their concert. Honestly, I regret because it was time consuming and I don't have any talent in acting at all. Well, though I think I screwed up the performance, I THINK that I enjoyed myself because I've learnt a lot through all the various rehearsals which I'd never learn in the future.
With the other actors and actresses.
And the backstage people.
After which  I went to St Nicks for Fiesta.
That was taken at around 5pm when fiesta was about to end but it was still really crowded especially at the dunking machine there because everyone was waiting to dunk the principal ($888), Ms Susan Lim ($1888) and Ms Sharon Law ($888).  I was too old to sit on the rides and just spent my $10 coupon on food and most of the time socializing.
I met up with my primary school friends, secondary school friends and also finally met Ms Yee.
4 Unity 2012. (': I miss these people.
6 Hope 2008 people! I can't believe it! xD
With Ms Yee! Best Chem teacher and Best teacher ever!
With the guides!
Honestly, given 3hours (less than 3 hours), its totally impossible to catch up with so many people. Didn't even get to talk to Ms Yee, Mrs Seah etc and my juniors ):< However, it felt good to be back in St Nicks. Though the fiesta wasn't what I expected... (I expected it to be all over the school, with the primary section. Just like Primary 6 and Primary 3) but I must say it was well done given that the time to plan was too rushed. It certainly felt good to see many faces again and to talk to them and all the hugs (which its probably too weird to go around hugging people in JC). I'm not going to spend my time reminiscing my old days from primary 1 till secondary 4 but I just hope to see everyone soon... Again.
Ayana, Amanda and I then watched that girl in pinafore and I must say it is a good movie. However, I feel though the show is relatable to some extent, the storyline is too cliché and to predictable. I could predict the ending and their next moves. But, the movie really taught me a lot though I thought the ending was quite lame. Well, it showed what reality is. Worth watch!

Last Friday, 2nd August 2013 was YFC's last street sales and we had many volunteers because of the advocates and other volunteers. It was indeed a long journey. From selling lightsticks at Orchard to selling at Marina Bay to selling ice gems at East Coast Park to Raffles and back to Marina Bay. {Note to self to write a reflection when the whole YFC journey is done}
We've been through a lot. I guess... We sold 2500 packets of ice gems... It was seriously not funny anymore when you wake up each day with 15 boxes (for me) at my door waiting for me to clear them. 84 boxes to 0 boxes. I've also learnt a lot. A lot about the society and a lot about handling money. Handling money is not easy and I must say, accounting and business is not for me. Besides, I learnt that it is not easy to do business. (DUH) but it is even more not easy when we're kids, holding a license, selling packets of ice gems and lightsticks. I do know that people will question our reliability factor and it is hard to explain despite the license and everything. People in Raffles are too busy to stop for us to even hear us spread our cause. Door-to-door just don't open the door and here, we have east coast park.... That Friday night at marina bay, we saw SA's security guard uncle along with his girlfriend/wife at Macs at 10pm and it was seriously really funny. HAHAHAHAHA. I also heard the NDP rehearsals like a lot of times and honestly, I'm addicted to it though many said it isn't good. (Don't judge me... I may dislike it initially but its addictive and the lyrics are actually fine!) I just dislike the rap because it doesn't sound like one and the lyrics are tad weird.
28/7/13 Sunday...
We sold 17 boxes of ice gems at east coast park in total from the 2 sales...7/7/13 and 28/7/13. Selling 10 on Sunday was probably the best thing ever because that was like whooping 300 packets gone. And it is the best place to sell at because people there do want the ice gems and they're receptive to listen to our cause. Some may not really believe but they buy it simply because they want it.
We used a bike to deliver ice gems to volunteers selling to people at different ends of the park so that they do not have to travel so far and honestly, I think it was good because they didn't have to keep walking back to the center of East Coast park just to collect more ice gems.
And say Hi to the delivery woman! Talking on the phone with one hand "OMG WHERE ARE YOU. I'm at xxxxxx"
It was seriously tiring. but I enjoyed myself cycling up and down. (-:
And YFC graduation picture. Last STREET sales by the beach.

26/7/13 FRIDAY
Met up with the guides and this time with SAM! Caught up with them again and totally miss everyone and missed Sam too!
Unity guides! (Y)
I guess we took way too many pictures ):< and it will be crazy to upload them all and Amanda could still piggy back me. HAHAHAHA and she probably grew stronger from taekwondo. By the way... we ate Manhattan at the open space/playground of J8 and I swear we're probably the only ones who actually do that!

Anyway, the long holiday is here and its 6-7 weeks more to promos. Time is passing faster than I expected and I'm still struggling or I'm STARTING to struggle with my balance study+CCA+entertainment life... Maybe its because everything is starting to get harder or I've been watching too much drama/movie/exo these days. WHICH I don't think so. Maybe its because of CCA. The many rehearsals and YFC which made me real tired and I'm really afraid to fall sick again. Sleeping at 2am/3am is really not a joke anymore because I'm starting to get more tired and yet I've to at least try to read up or understand stuff or I'll die the next lecture and I don't want a snowball coming after me. Plus I had to do PW.
This national day holiday is like 80% study and 20% play. 20% is probably used to type this blogpost and tomorrow's national day parade.
Alright... Time to repair my EOM, and revise gravitation!
Bye!

Happy national day xx!
Someday... when I grow up, I hope to contribute back to society :-)

Inception

Destiny is really a pretty good song. It reminds me of some anime that I watched before though. I think it was 4 years ago or something. I remember 5% of it.

Its been 1-2 weeks after CTs and after getting back all my results, I'm glad to say that I've passed this exam. But the scariest part of it is that... I've no idea how I managed to pass with ABC/BD.
Which was surprisingly better than my MSA results. The fact that promos are merely 8 weeks away makes term 3 feel terrible.
Besides, I had Chinese oral today and I feel okay but I'm really upset cos the examiner kept cutting me off )': and everyone else had 3 questions while I had 2. Well, whatever. Its over and there is still Chinese listening comprehension next week and many lecture tests coming up... PW is creeping on me too.

oh well, basically, term 3 sux. Its a boring term.

Went back to St Nicks on the 5th of July, the Friday after our common tests and caught up with everyone.

Back then, life in st nicks was really good. Too comfortable to the extent that I could walk around barefooted just because my shoes were wet... or sitting on 2 benches and aunty would always give me extra food because they know me for 10 years.
Caught up with Amanda Neo and Carnation Kng the most because we haven't seen each other since 5ever and I really wanna meet Vivian. I miss fooling around with Vivian and having Amanda nagging at us or giving us the WTH look. Didn't get to see Ms Yee which made me feel unaccomplished for the entire week because I wanted to tell her about JC chem! hehe and how I got my questions answered in JC. Being someone who ask a lot of questions, life feels good when my questions are answered! [And show her that I've matured a little bit more. Though I'm still as playful as ever.] Ate orange bowl and chicken rice... A lot... I know. But I can't help it. I've been eating orange bowl for 10 years and its my 11th year lol.

Summing up, my life is reallyyyyy boooorrriinggggggg.
A huge pile of tutorials just dropped on me and hence, I've to go and complete them as soon as possible.

Breaking News

BOYS MEET U on replay :*

I've been sick from 15 June to 28 June. And it was probably something you wouldn't want in the middle of the holidays.
Firstly, my fever only came at night. Next, it was pretty high at 38.6 deg cel and I had NO sore throat. So I thought that it was because I was tired but it turned out that the fever came the subsequent 2-3 nights and so I told my parents. Of course I got scolded yadiyadablablabla so my dad brought me down to the clinic on the 19th of June to take the blood test because my mum was so paranoid that I've dengue and that I was going to die soon.
I feared needles. Trust me... the doctor took forever to calm me and then took forever to find my vein and poke me so many times. He gave me this medicine that look like M&N and it was a lot stronger than panadol because I couldn't take panadol and he had no choice. Well... little did I know that the medicine had side effects on me.
I had another blood test on the 22th because my fever was being really stubborn and the other doctor and 2 other nurses took forever to find a vein and took forever to calm me again. It wasn't dengue anyway...The fever did subside by sunday night, the 23rd but headache kicked in and it was pretty bad because I couldn't sleep.
Usually, when someone is having a headache, all they could do was to lie on their bed and sleep but all I could do was to curl up on my bed and try to calm myself because it was so painful. It was so painful that I couldn't study. My dreams were all very bad because it involves the headache. It went on for 2-3 nights and I started vomiting after. I seriously thought that I was going to die because I couldn't even eat or drink properly and the headache was killing me so badly that I couldn't even reply simple whatsapp messages. My parents then took me to the Chinese doctor which prescribed me super cool medicine. My appetite returned after that but I puked the medicine out. (I was really hopeless) and what I puked was the EXACT PILL out.
So my mum tried natural remedies. Peppermint tea, apple, papaya... It isn't funny. 2 fruits that I hate the most: PAPAYA and DURIAN. I still puked them out... but peppermint helps to restore my appetite! I wrote how many times I vomited each day on my school diary too. Alright I eventually recovered by Friday/Saturday and really started studying for Common Tests.
I'm NOT gonna fall sick again. 2 litres of water a day and no fried food till I die.
Who am I kidding. Just gonna take good care of myself from now on... No one wants history to repeat itself.

(Quotes here)
Anyway, common tests are over. Though I only studied for 6-7 days and a bit here and there when I was sick (not that bad but could cope), I felt so unprepared because I didn't study finish my favourite subject. I was frustrated then.
I really was. My H1 is my FAVOURITE SUBJECT. I didn't take geography as a H2 because there simply wasn't any such combination offered and besides, I don't need geography to become a dentist! Last night was really depressing because I really wanted to #YOLO and quit geography and just solely concentrate on physics but I simply couldn't bring myself to quit geography because I need to continue getting A/B for my geography (continuation from secondary school) and I really like geography. It doesn't make sense to fail a subject that you like. I gave up geography in the end at like 2am because even if I get A for geog... its 10 points only which is a H2 pass and I'd rather pass physics with 10 points or more. But hey, I tried studying for geog and I'm so proud of myself.
Well, I didn't regret much though I #YOLO-ed during the paper and invented my own ways to mitigate and measure earthquake because I have no content. Wait.... I think I have... it came naturally because newspaper always got report this kind of stuff but it wasn't a lot. (I didn't remember them intentionally when I read the news) Alright basically, geography paper was slipshod work. Every subject was just like meh. I didn't prepare much and all I was for is a pass for my 3H2s because I pushed myself even when I was sick and I feel that I deserved something. At least a pass right?

Today was a great day (I looked over at my cup and I realized that I barely drank water today) because exams officially ended for now (12 days to Alevel Chinese oral) and I actually went out. (2 weeks of being coped up at home and then studying for exams....)
A big thank you to...
for making my day! xxxxxxxxxx Watched despicable me 2 today and though the movie wasn't really good, the minions were cute and I absolutely enjoyed the movie. Went to eat baskin robbins after that with Rosa, Yanting, Janessa, Jason, Bryan and Jared and finally ate my candy floss icecream that I've been craving for since I was sick. (blame bryan for sending me that picture)
Anyway, I hope that we'll all go out together and bond more. (Hopefully Vanessa and Bijuan can join us) I bet the next time we'll go out together will be like after Promos/after Chinese As/after PW. And I'm looking forward!

By the way, I've recently read I've got your number and I find this book really hilarious and I'm totally in love with the main characters, Poppy and sam. Though the story didn't unfold the way I wanted (like her other books) but this book has its own plus points! Well, every book can't end up the same way right? I can't wait to get my hands on the book she recently published- Wedding night though the ratings were horrible. (The storyline didn't really attract me though).

Looking forward-
Term 3 has officially started and I'm going to make the best out of it!
I'll survive term 3. I'll survive all SPAS, all PW, all YFC, all CHINESE, everything. Every challenge that I'm bound to meet will be challenged.

She's dazzling~~
