I've been sick from 15 June to 28 June. And it was probably something you wouldn't want in the middle of the holidays.
Firstly, my fever only came at night. Next, it was pretty high at 38.6 deg cel and I had NO sore throat. So I thought that it was because I was tired but it turned out that the fever came the subsequent 2-3 nights and so I told my parents. Of course I got scolded yadiyadablablabla so my dad brought me down to the clinic on the 19th of June to take the blood test because my mum was so paranoid that I've dengue and that I was going to die soon.
I feared needles. Trust me... the doctor took forever to calm me and then took forever to find my vein and poke me so many times. He gave me this medicine that look like M&N and it was a lot stronger than panadol because I couldn't take panadol and he had no choice. Well... little did I know that the medicine had side effects on me.
I had another blood test on the 22th because my fever was being really stubborn and the other doctor and 2 other nurses took forever to find a vein and took forever to calm me again. It wasn't dengue anyway...The fever did subside by sunday night, the 23rd but headache kicked in and it was pretty bad because I couldn't sleep.
Usually, when someone is having a headache, all they could do was to lie on their bed and sleep but all I could do was to curl up on my bed and try to calm myself because it was so painful. It was so painful that I couldn't study. My dreams were all very bad because it involves the headache. It went on for 2-3 nights and I started vomiting after. I seriously thought that I was going to die because I couldn't even eat or drink properly and the headache was killing me so badly that I couldn't even reply simple whatsapp messages. My parents then took me to the Chinese doctor which prescribed me super cool medicine. My appetite returned after that but I puked the medicine out. (I was really hopeless) and what I puked was the EXACT PILL out.
So my mum tried natural remedies. Peppermint tea, apple, papaya... It isn't funny. 2 fruits that I hate the most: PAPAYA and DURIAN. I still puked them out... but peppermint helps to restore my appetite! I wrote how many times I vomited each day on my school diary too. Alright I eventually recovered by Friday/Saturday and really started studying for Common Tests.
I'm NOT gonna fall sick again. 2 litres of water a day and no fried food till I die.
Who am I kidding. Just gonna take good care of myself from now on... No one wants history to repeat itself.

Anyway, common tests are over. Though I only studied for 6-7 days and a bit here and there when I was sick (not that bad but could cope), I felt so unprepared because I didn't study finish my favourite subject. I was frustrated then.
I really was. My H1 is my FAVOURITE SUBJECT. I didn't take geography as a H2 because there simply wasn't any such combination offered and besides, I don't need geography to become a dentist! Last night was really depressing because I really wanted to #YOLO and quit geography and just solely concentrate on physics but I simply couldn't bring myself to quit geography because I need to continue getting A/B for my geography (continuation from secondary school) and I really like geography. It doesn't make sense to fail a subject that you like. I gave up geography in the end at like 2am because even if I get A for geog... its 10 points only which is a H2 pass and I'd rather pass physics with 10 points or more. But hey, I tried studying for geog and I'm so proud of myself.
Well, I didn't regret much though I #YOLO-ed during the paper and invented my own ways to mitigate and measure earthquake because I have no content. Wait.... I think I have... it came naturally because newspaper always got report this kind of stuff but it wasn't a lot. (I didn't remember them intentionally when I read the news) Alright basically, geography paper was slipshod work. Every subject was just like meh. I didn't prepare much and all I was for is a pass for my 3H2s because I pushed myself even when I was sick and I feel that I deserved something. At least a pass right?
Today was a great day (I looked over at my cup and I realized that I barely drank water today) because exams officially ended for now (12 days to Alevel Chinese oral) and I actually went out. (2 weeks of being coped up at home and then studying for exams....)
A big thank you to...
for making my day! xxxxxxxxxx Watched despicable me 2 today and though the movie wasn't really good, the minions were cute and I absolutely enjoyed the movie. Went to eat baskin robbins after that with Rosa, Yanting, Janessa, Jason, Bryan and Jared and finally ate my candy floss icecream that I've been craving for since I was sick. (blame bryan for sending me that picture)
Anyway, I hope that we'll all go out together and bond more. (Hopefully Vanessa and Bijuan can join us) I bet the next time we'll go out together will be like after Promos/after Chinese As/after PW. And I'm looking forward!
By the way, I've recently read I've got your number and I find this book really hilarious and I'm totally in love with the main characters, Poppy and sam. Though the story didn't unfold the way I wanted (like her other books) but this book has its own plus points! Well, every book can't end up the same way right? I can't wait to get my hands on the book she recently published- Wedding night though the ratings were horrible. (The storyline didn't really attract me though).
Looking forward-
Term 3 has officially started and I'm going to make the best out of it!
I'll survive term 3. I'll survive all SPAS, all PW, all YFC, all CHINESE, everything. Every challenge that I'm bound to meet will be challenged.

She's dazzling~~
