Day 1: 1/8
I took the midnight flight to Korea and spent my whole time watching movies and spamming variety shows and documentary since I was the only one who couldn't sleep. And the last 1 hour was used to listen to some kpop music since its unlimited there on the plane.
And Korean air is good! :}
Day 2: 2/8
So arrived in Korea on the 2nd of November and the weather was warm. Around 23 degree Celsius and it wasn't supposed to be that hot. The first thing when I stepped out, I saw HuiJan. So got on the bus and sat an hour ride from Incheon International airport to
Gyeongbokgung Palace where they filmed all those dramas like jewel in the palace and dong yi etc.
That palace was huge! Although its not as big as the forbidden city and not as flowery as the forbidden city, its still huge with so many rooms. The buildings looks almost similar to the forbidden city and since I went by tour, I didn't even have the change to roll around and slowly read those boards talking about the history of the palace and instead completed it in 1hour! If it was me, I'd take 2-3 hours since history is important.
After that, we went to eat lunch and ate good food! You know those mixed rice with kimchi etc.
Headed of the Gimpo Airport and I took the flight to Jeju and it was like 1hour of my life. And it felt like nothing. The plane goes up, serve drinks, plane goes down. So arrived at Jeju and saw HuiJan again. I think that was stupid. Got on the bus and went to see the YongDuam Rock. Its supposed to be dragon looking due to some legend but I don't think it looks like one? So since it was near water I didn't dare to go and step on those rocks and then my parents and my brother disappeared. They went over to the other side. -.- The view was spectacular and it was so windy!
After that, we went to the Mysterious road. It was just a normal road. So no pictures. :\ but its super freaky! When the bus driver switch off his bus it went uphill! Totally and we poured water on the road and it went uphill! That was insane! After that, had saba fish for dinner and it was nice!
Went to the hotel at 7pm and I think its called Jeju Pacific. I hate that hotel. A lot. Since its Autumn, no aircon is supposed to be switched on at night so we had to open the window. There was no mosquito net and it got bitten on my right eyelid which sucks. So I had parallel eyelids on my right eye and it was swollen and I don't look good with parallel eyelids! Grrrr.
Day 3: 3/8
Headed off to Tangerine Orchard to see the oranges and bought orange chocolate! Whoo! Its really fresh and good!
Went to Seongsan sunrise peak and I died climbing that whole mountain or volcano just to see the crater. Plus I couldn't even open my right eye properly. :( The view is really pretty so the climb is worth it? Just don't wear a jacket to climb!
Then went to the trick art museum and that place is a totally for camwhoring! Really.
Followed by lunch which was meat, meat and more meat. Like you know you put the rice and meat into the vegetable and eat?
Then went to teddy bear museum. If you watched goong....
Its really good because everything was made up of teddy bear! Its just bears and non-stop bears and they even have a park for bears! Wanted to get one of those for people but they cost like 30 singapore dollars just for a bear so I totally put that idea off my mind and decided to ignore those requests by some people.
After that we went to watch the Dolphin, Sealion and monkey show and its so cute! And went yatching after that. Almost got seasick! Had redwine and nothing else. :\ I felt rich for 30minutes and then back to poor me again.
After that went to O'Sulloc green tea museum and its green tea plantation was huge! Its not just like that. And Korea's green tea is so super awesome and fresh. Its so much better than Singapore's Jasmine Green Tea -___- Really, Not kidding.
Our last stop in Jeju was the glass castle with all its exhibitions made up of glass!
Even the bridge, the trees are all made up of glass and there is the mega cinderella glass shoes! So pretty!
Dinner was seafood and I can't take that so I can forget about that. So that ends my journey in Jeju. If I went in spring, I could see waterfall etc. So at night after my fight with the mozzies, I wrapped my eyes with my scarf, and then sandwich myself in the blanket and wear long trackpants and zip them up and it worked! No more bites! :P Such a genius idea. Not really though, I melted into bits and pieces. It was so hot!
Day 4: 4/8
So got up early the next day and took the morning flight back to Gimpo Airport and went to Everland theme park! that theme park was huge. So much bigger than USS and the rides were really crazy too! sat that one that spin opposite so many times. And the wooden roller coaster that drops down 180degrees and it was epic! Not scary at all. Then there was the roller coaster that goes 360 degrees 2 times in a row and that was like whoosh and done. Nothing one. The only one I screamed till I almost cried was this:
It just went opposite and spin and spin and spin and spin and spin so many times and there is the fall all the way down with the face facing the ground and suddenly it spin rounds and went up and fall down again. Gosh that was the worst experience in my entire life! But the 3D shows were not as high tech as USS. But the rides were good! I sat all the roller coasters.
So after that we went to make Kimchi! Its really easy! and Kimchi helps you lose weight so eat more kimchi! By the way, I'm really sick of eating kimchi all day. But its process was long. But flavoring it was really simple and I've got the techniques! I am Nicole the professional. And I can get married to a Korean man in the future since I can make Kimchi. Just kidding.
Then went to try the Korean traditional hanbok. So cute! Can't stop laughing at that because I look so funny. And it feels weird but its super cool! I like!
After that we went to pick apples! Okay, that was nothing but apples!
We then went to Yeoju Factory outlet and everything is so cheap there. Wanted to buy vans and I didn't. I totally regret it. Well.. But I already have 7 pairs of shoes. And I think that is a lot. Maybe some might not think so. But I'd rather spend money on food. Singapore should have one! I'll go all crazy. After that was dinner we sat on the floor to eat like those Korean shows.. My leg was all crammed sitting on the floor like that.
After that we went to sleep in Oak Valley resort! Its like those tatami rooms! Super cool!
Day 5: 5/8
Woke up and there were no mosquitoes and there were mosquitoes net. Quickly packed up and went to eat breakfast before heading off to sit the ATV ride. Up in a hill after 1hour journey. It was so cold as compared to Jeju and the previous days. So rode the ATV machine thing and went rounds and speed. Yes, the man was gesturing at me to slow down. LOL. This is so fun. My brother and I went rounds and rounds and speed like crazy. Well... I'm born to be able to drive cars and ride bikes.
After that, we went up the hill even higher to feed sheeps that were hungry. Just like the tortoise I have. They recognise me and come to me for food. So scary! then we made cheese and it doesn't really taste like cheese but its still cheese. Went for lunch. Some pork dumpling soup. And we went to Mount Seoraksan national park and went to see Shinhungsa temple! The temple looks better than the palace and its really traditional.
the view there is really good! And we sat the cable car up and climbed up the mountain.
It was raining so the view was bad which was rather disappointing. It will look like this if its not autumn :( or if it was not raining it would look really pretty from what I see from the internet.
The climb was still worth it even though it was slippery and scary and if it was not raining I'd reach and touch the peak it was just that little bit of steep slope :( Then went to aqua world theme park to do the scrub thing and try out but I didn't go for some certain reason. Well, one of the reason was because of water and pool. My dad says its cool and they had fun! Then went for dinner. And stayed at the class 300 membership hotel!
It was rather cooling and it had sea view! And there is mosquito net and automatic lights and the toilet bowl that cleans my butt for me. :P
Day 6: 6/8
Back to Seoul. The main ideal place I wanted to go. It was a 3 hours long tedious journey on the bus and I almost died there but I survived because I really really wanna go to seoul but if they cut off the Seaweed gallery, natural health showroom, gem factory. When we reach seoul, we went for lunch and ate ginseng chicken. So we went to the seaweed gallery and bought a box worth of HEALTHY AND FRESH seaweed. Shit, I really going crazy over seaweed.
Then we went to the ice gallery. and Went to carve ice! I made a cup out of ice and it failed
Then went to the ice gallery which was -35 degree celsius. Its so cool! everything is made up of ice!
Then we went to Dongdaemun markets. Yes yes, shopping 101. Its like china but more fashionable than china. So bought a top there. The rest are all winter clothes. so disappointing. :( And they are stylish winter clothes but if I wear them in Singapore, I'd just melt to death.
After that went to Imperial palace hotel. Made up of all mirrors! I can even stare at myself even when I sleep. Oops that was really freaky. But it was comfortable! Their window is really cool too!
Day 7: 7/8
Went to Cheong wa Dae where its the president's place or something. Its pretty there!
Then we went to eat lunch and all those show case like ginseng, etc. So we went to Myeongdong shopping street and its crazy shopping there! So bu gan xing never buy enough. Tsk and bought loads of cosmetics there.
day 8: 8/8
Went to sinchon ladies street where the ladies/woman's university is there and bought quite some stuff there! Saw Huijan in the shop thanks to my brother and had sometime running away and then went to eat and provision shop and bought stuff after that, came back to Singapore.
1) the weather is perfect
2) their uniform is so stylish
3) they have cool toilet bowls that clean my butt for me
4) their facial products there are awesome
5) I'm sick of kimchi and pork.
6) If I go to Korea again I'll go to seoul.
