Its week 4 next week which means Chinese Olevels is in 6 weeks time and Chemistry Olevel spa is this coming thursday... Campfire on Friday the 13th followed by RI campfire on the 14th.
Looks like a busy week coming ahead with preparation for campfire and campfire item.
Well, this week was rather a sweet week. Actually I don't know how to describe. I haven't been studying much, neither have I been doing my work or putting in much effort in my work. I guess...
Lets talk about more interesting stuff k.
So yesterday, Shihui, Beatrice, Yifen, Xueying, Madeline and I went to the old folks home to do some voluntary work and this is like my second or third time going to the old folks home and I vividly remember the first time I went to an old folks home. Because I can't speak any dialect, neither do I know how to speak in proper good malay sentence nor can I speak in good chinese... Language barrier existed. Well, yesterday I learnt that I do not need language to communicate to them and talk to them!!! All you have to do is make them feel warmth by looking into their eye! Besides, I chatted with one or two of them given the limited time I have and I learnt quite a bit from one or two of them. She spoke to me about the times when language was just english and malay that is why she can't speak proper chinese. One also told me a bit of her life story which was rather refreshing. I guess I'd want to go back as a volunteer there if I can. And definitely not stick to one organisation like after Olevels or something because there are many more to reach out and help. We can't just stick to a specific elderly or something..
